How to Collect A Deposit from an Online Booking

Adit enables practices to require a deposit for online bookings, providing greater appointment security and reducing no-shows.
Alert
This feature is only available for locations that have Adit Pay enabled.
  • Navigate to Online Scheduling > Booking Links.

  • Select the booking link you want to configure.

  • Scroll down and Enable the Payment Method checkbox 

    • Note: This option will only be available if Adit Pay is already set up for the location.

  • After enabling, enter the required deposit amount in the Payment Due Today field

  • Select Save

Notes
Deposits will only be requested from New patients. Existing patients will not asked to pay deposit while booking an appointment.


Patient Experience When Booking An Appointment

When a new patient books online:

  1. They will fill in their personal details (name, DOB, phone, email).

  2. Before confirming their appointment, patients will have to enter in their card details and pay the deposit amount


  3. Once the payment is processed, the appointment will be booked and the confirmation screen will appear.

Integration with Adit Pay 

Once an appointment is booked and a deposit is collected, Adit will automatically create both an Appointment Record and Adit Pay record that will be linked together.
