Online Scheduling: Setting Up Custom Booking Links

Custom booking links allow you to generate a scheduling page designed for a specific audience or need. Instead of having patients scroll through every option, you can send them directly to the right booking flow.

This saves time for your patients, reduces scheduling errors, and creates a seamless experience that feels tailored to their needs.

  • Require a deposit from New Patients when booking an appointment (If Adit Pay is enabled)

  • Ability to customize the Appointment Confirmation Page

  • Ability to customize the Booking link by adding your logo, colors, maps, phone, and display name

  • Allow patients to book for their entire family in a single session

  • Allow patients to add themselves to the ASAP List 

  • Allow patients to automatically add their appointment to personal calendar

  • Add your logo, colors, map, phone, and a custom thank-you page

  1. Go to Online Scheduling > Booking Links.

  2. Click Add Booking Link

  3. Name The Booking Link

  4. Set a Theme Color


  5. Add a Practice Logo: 

    1. Select Choose File

    2. A pop-up will appear giving you two choices:

      1. Upload from your computer - Select a logo file directly from your desktop.

      2. Choose from the library - If you’ve already uploaded your logo to the media library, you can select it from there instead of uploading a new file.

  6. Set The Practice Name that will be displayed for Patients

  7. Choose Which Locations Will be Available on the Booking Link (Multi-Location Booking)

  8. Choose Where to Send Patients After They Complete Their Booking

  1. Use the Default Adit Thank You Page

  2. Set a Custom URL 

  1. Add your Google Analytics ID (Optional)

Customizing Your Booking Flow

  1. Show or Hide Logo

  1. Show or Hide Display Name, Phone Number, & Map

When customizing your booking link, you can choose whether to display your practice’s location map and phone number. These details appear at the top of the booking page, making it easier for patients to contact you or find your office.

  1. Show Display Name

  2. Show Phone

    1. If enabled, your practice phone number will appear at the top of the booking link

    2. Adit Voice needs to be enabled for this feature to work

  3. Show Map

    1. If enabled, a Google Maps widget will appear on your booking link

    2. If the map does not display, make sure your address is entered correctly in your settings

  1. Show or Hide Bookings for Spouse & Children (Family Booking)

    1. Show the option to book for a spouse or children

  2. Pre-select Answers for “Have you visited before?”

    1. You can pre-select whether the booking link is for a New Patient or Existing Patient

      1. If an answer is pre-selected, you can also choose to hide the question from the booking link by clicking on the eyeball icon on the right. 

      2. The question will become greyed out to indicate that it won’t be visible on the booking link for the patient.

    2. You can also leave the answers as is and let the patient select it themselves

  3. Pre-select Answers for “What type of appointment would you like to schedule?”

    1. You can pre-select the type of service on the booking link

      1. Note: Since services are specific to New or Existing patients, you can only pre-select a service if you are also pre-selecting as New Patient or Existing Patient

      2. If a service is pre-selected, you can choose to hide the question from the booking link by clicking on the eyeball icon on the right. 

      3. The question will become greyed out to indicate that it won’t be visible on the booking link for the patient.

    2. You can also leave the answers as is and let the patient select it themselves

    3. Example of When You Would Pre-select Answers on a Booking Link

      1.  Your practice wants to send a mass email campaign to encourage patients to return for a cleaning.

      2. In the custom booking link, you can pre-select “Existing Patient” for the patient status and pre-select “Patient Cleaning” for the service.

      3. You can then choose to hide those two questions on the booking link so that patients won’t have to go through answering those questions.

  4. Show or Hide Insurance Questions

    1. Enable this option if you want to ask the patient for their insurance information

    2. This question can be marked mandatory by selecting the asterisk icon on the right

  5. Show or Hide Provider Specific Booking

    1. Enabling this option will allow patients to book an appointment with a specific provider

    2. You can also pre-select the provider that will be shown on the booking link

    3. This is only available if you have the “show provider” option enabled in the scheduling page



  6. Customize Patient Information Fields

  7. Enable Insurance Verification

    1. Enabling this option will require patients to provide their insurance information in detail so they can be verified within the RCM module

    2. This is only available if RCM is enabled

  8. Enable Adit Pay Deposit

    1. Enabling this will require new patients to pay a deposit in order to book their appointment

    2. Customize the deposit amount

  9. Customize Thank You Page

    1. Customize the text shown on the thank you page

    2. Enable the ability for patients to add themselves to the ASAP List

  10. Save & Share the Booking Link

    1. Select Save & create the booking link

    2. Open the booking and test the booking flow before sending it out to patients

    3. When ready, copy the URL to the booking link and share it.
