Adit’s Engage 2.0
brings a modern messaging system. It unifies all communication - patient
conversations and internal staff chats - into one centralized, streamlined
interface. Whether you are chatting with a patient, assigning a task, or
collaborating with teammates, Engage 2.0 is built to support fast, clear
communication with less friction.

screen space and easier access to key features. The top bar includes a global
search to quickly find patients, tasks, or team members.
Engage 2.0

The Engage module
in Adit lets you securely communicate with patients and external contacts via
SMS. You can also collaborate internally by sending messages to team members.
This article explains how to send, manage, and organize your conversations, and
outlines all available actions within the message panel.
Conversations
with Patients and External SMS
Patients:
You can
send and receive direct messages with your patients. These conversations
are logged in the patient’s chart for easy reference.
External SMS:
External
SMS refers to messages that come from a mobile number not yet associated
with any patient profile in Adit. When a message is received from such a
number, it appears in the conversation thread as an external message.
Internal Conversations
The engage module also lets you send direct messages to your internal teams within the same location or across locations in your organization.
Internal Direct Messages
1:1 Messages: These are private messages between staff members, offering a direct and confidential communication channel.
Updated Module: The new internal chat system now resides under the Engage tab alongside patient messages, consolidating communication within a single interface.
Internal Group Chats
Real-Time Collaboration: Group chats allow team members to collaborate in real-time, making them ideal for discussing patients, practice workflows, or daily coordination.
Shared Threads: Work together on common tasks and updates, ensuring everyone stays on the same page.
