In this help article, we will show you how to use the Internal Chat module so you can start using it for your team communication.
Here are the features:
Creating a Chat Pop Up
In the top right of the chat thread, click on the chat box button.
This will create a pop up for the chat thread you are one, allowing you to leave the module while still being able to continue chatting.
You can minimize the chat pop up, by clicking on the - icon. This will create a chat bubble in the bottom right corner, where you can click on the bubble to reopen the chat pop up.
If you click on the icon with arrow, it will open the chat thread in a new tab.
Search Feature
You are able to search for users by using the search bar on the left panel.
You are able to search for messages in the chat thread by clicking on the magnifying glass icon.
Marking as Unread
On a message you received, click on the arrow and select Unread from here.
Messages from that point, will now be considered unread and will have the number of unread messages on the left side panel.
Add to Favorites
On the top right of the chat thread, click on the three dots and click on Add to Favorites.
This will create a new section on the left side panel called FAVORITES and these chats will always remain on the top, over the recent chats.
Clearing Chat
On the top right of the chat thread, click on the three dots and click on Clear Chat.
Read the message in the popup, and click on Yes to confirm the removal of all messages in the chat.
Mute Notifications
On the top right of the chat thread, click on the three dots and click on Mute.
Muted chats will have a crossed out speaker icon next to them in the left side panel.
To unmute a chat: On the top right of the chat thread, click on the three dots and click on Unmute.
