Create and send a mass text

Mass texts allow you to deliver personalized messages to a specific group of patients all at one time. Mass Texting is useful for urgent messages, such as office closures due to weather.

*Please note there is a 300 number limit per day due to the 10DLC restriction. For example: 1 message sent to 300 numbers at one time; or 3 messages sent to 100 numbers at one time. Both examples would be under the allowed amount per day in order to avoid your number being flagged as a possible spam message. You do have the option to schedule these texts to be sent over multiple days.

In order to send a mass text, you will first need to define a patient segment.

To create and send a mass text:
            1. Navigate to the Engage module.
            2. In the top navigation menu, click on Mass Texting.  If you don’t see this option in the menu, click the three dots to view the rest of the menu options.
      3. Click the Add Campaign button. You should see this pop up appear


            4. Fill out the form fields:

    1. Choose the location and a name for this campaign.
    2. In the Message field, enter the text you would like to send.
    3. Use Add Variables & Links to allow the message to pull patient details for a more personalized experience.
    4. Click Next.
            
            5. Select the desired patient segments to whom you would like to send this mass text. You can then remove individual people from the recipient list.
            6. Click Next.
            7. Read the pop up message regarding patients with the same phone number and then click Confirm.
            8. Review your campaign.
            9. If everything is correct, click Send Now.
            10. If you would like to schedule this campaign to be sent later, click Schedule.
            11. Select the Date and Time to send your mass text campaign.
            12. Click the Schedule Campaign button.
