What are the charges, overages, and surcharges on my invoice?

Adit Invoicing

Most Adit clients are billed for their Adit services with two separate invoices each month. The first is your recurring monthly subscription charge; some clients pay this annually instead of monthly. The second invoice is for your Adit application usage overages and surcharges.

Types of Charges

Your invoice will include three types of charges: service fees, overages, and surcharges.

Service Fees

A Service Fee is a set fee for a particular feature or module within the Adit platform. For most clients, the only feature we include separately on your invoice is Call Tracking. This feature has an additional charge because of the resource-intense nature of saving all call recordings and tracking records.

Overages

Your Adit subscription comes with a certain number of minutes, messages, and phone numbers included at no additional charge. If you go over these allotted limits, you will be charged a small fee for the additional minutes, messages, and phone numbers used. These are overage charges.
Please refer to Adit's Usage Policy for more information about what is included in your subscription.
You may be charged overages for:
  1. Additional phone numbers
  2. Call Tracking minutes
  3. Text messages
  4. Email messages
  5. Video minutes
  6. Mass/bulk text messages

Surcharges

Surcharges are additional fees passed on to you from a source outside of Adit, such as a mobile carrier or a regulatory agency. Adit passes these surchages on to you with no additional markup. These surcharges may include:
10DLC Registration Fee: a one-time fee charged to register your phone number for 10DLC regulatory compliance. May be charged an additional time if your registration has to be re-submitted due to incomplete information.
10DLC Maintenance Fee: a recurring monthly charge to maintain your 10DLC regulatory compliance.
FCC, CTRC, and Carrier Surcharges: a per-message fee charged by mobile carriers in the US and Canada, including T-Mobile, Bell, AT&T, Rogers, etc. These fees will vary based on the number of text messages you send per month, including 1:1 messages, automated messages, and mass/bulk messages.

How do I reduce my surcharges?

Carriers charge surcharges for every message sent and received. You can reduce the surcharges you are billed by using other Adit features in place of text messages. For example, reduce your mass texting surcharges by using Email Campaigns for marketing purposes; reduce your carrier surcharges by utilizing Adit's email and voice reminders in place of or in addition to text reminders. Striking a good balance between text messaging and other types of communication is how many of our clients reduced their monthly surcharges by 50-60%!
