  5. Mass/bulk text messages: $0.01 per message, plus applicable carrier surcharges

Other Charges

Adit also passes on certain compliance surcharges and fee to you. We do not alter or markup these surcharges.
  1. FCC and CRTC surcharges: charged directly by government regulatory bodies for text messaging
  2. Carrier surcharges: charged by all major mobile carriers (AT&T, Bell, T-Mobile, Rogers, Sprint, etc) for text messages delivered to a recipient's mobile phone number
  3. 10DLC registration fee: minimum one-time fee of $22 charged to register your phone number for 10DLC regulatory compliance
  4. 10DLC maintenance fee: monthly fee of $2-11 for ongoing compliance maintenance

Why Does Mass Texting Cost More?

Mass and bulk text messages require additional security and compliance measures to ensure we are meeting government regulations and carrier requirements. There are various fees associated with this compliance, so we pass some of that cost on to you by charging a small amount ($0.01) per mass/bulk message sent.

More Information About Minutes

Adit Voice Minutes vs Tracking Minutes

Adit tracks Adit Voice call minutes and Tracking minutes separately based on the type of phone number the call was made to or from. Our phone carrier designates these calls differently because they are routed differently - landline calls typically ring directly on an extension in your office, while tracking numbers route the call from one phone number to another phone number before an extension rings.
If you made a call from or received a call on your Adit Voice landline, those are Adit Voice minutes.  Typically, your landline number will route to various extensions within your office.
If you received a call on a Tracking phone number, those are Tracking minutes.
If you forward landline calls to a Tracking number in your call flow, any calls forwarded to that Tracking number will use Tracking minutes.

How to Tell if your Phone Number is a Landline or Tracking Number

Go to Settings by clicking the gear icon near the top right corner of your Adit dashboard.

Select Number List from the menu.
On this page, you can see your Landline numbers (and your Fax number) in the top section, and your Tracking numbers in the bottom section.
