Complete and Approve a Treatment Plan

Complete and Approve a Treatment Plan

Treatment Plans are completed by the patient and approved by the practice.

Complete a Treatment Plan

The patient must click on the link they received in the email or text message to open their Treatment Plan. They can then click through the Treatment Plan to review the treatment options, select from the available payment options, accept the terms and conditions, and complete any attached Patient Forms.

Once they are satisfied with the Treatment Plan, the patient clicks the Submit button at the bottom of the page to complete the Treatment Plan.

The practice then receives a notification that the plan is complete and can access the completed plan on the Treatment Plans dashboard (it will appear on the All and Submitted pages). From here, you can countersign the Treatment Plan (if needed), view the payment plan or payment receipt in Adit Pay, and Approve (import) the Treatment Plan into your EHR/PMS software. You can also Download, Archive, or Cancel the Treatment Plan using the icons in the far right column.

Sign a Treatment Plan

When creating a Treatment Plan, one of the options you can include is a practice or doctor’s signature. If this is required on a Treatment Plan, the plan will show a status of Pending Sign once the patient submits the completed plan.

To sign a completed Treatment Plan:
  1. Locate the Treatment Plan on the All or Submitted pages of the Treatment Plans dashboard. You can search by Treatment Plan Name or by Patient Name near the top-right corner of the page.
  2. Click on the name of the Treatment Plan to open it.
  3. Click the Sign button near the top of the page.
  4. Fill out the signee information and click the Accept & Sign button at the bottom right.
  5. Draw, Type, or Upload a signature image, then click the Accept & Sign button at the bottom right.

Approve a Treatment Plan

Once a Treatment Plan is completed and signed (if required), it needs to be Approved. You can set your preferences to automatically approve and import Treatment Plans, or you can approve each one manually. For more information on importing Treatment Plans to your EHR/PMS software, please see our article on how to Attach a Treatment Plan to a Patient File in your EHR.
Note: Once a Treatment Plan is completed by the patient, any associated Payment Plans can be found in the Adit Pay module. Each Treatment Plan will contain a link that will take you to the Payment Plan details in Adit Pay.
