Attach a Treatment Plan to a Patient File in your EHR

When a Treatment Plan is imported into your EHR/PMS software, it attaches to the Patient File in the Treatment Plans folder. There are two ways to import a Treatment Plan into your EHR/PMS software – manual and automatic.

Manual Approval of Treatment Plans

To manually approve a Treatment Plan:
  1. Navigate to the Treatment Plans dashboard.
  2. Locate the desired Treatment Plan on the All or Submitted page.
  3. Click the Approve button in the Import Status column.
  4. Check the box beside which documents you would like to import.
  5. Click the Approve button.

Automatic Approval of Treatment Plans

For practices who do not wish to manually review and approve each completed Treatment Plan, we offer the ability to automatically import the plan to your EHR/PMS software. If the Treatment Plan requires a practice/doctor’s signature, it will auto-import as soon as the practice signs the plan.  If the Treatment Plan does not require a practice signature, it will auto-import as soon as the patient completes and submits the plan.

You can enable automatic approval by navigating to the Patient Forms module, then Preferences > Treatment Plans. Scroll down to the Plan Settings section and toggle the Auto-attach option to Yes.
