CareCredit: How to Submit An Application on Behalf of a Patient

  1. There are two different ways to process an application/transaction for a patient.
California Healthcare professionals may not submit credit applications for patients and should use the text to pay flow. Providers can accept the CareCredit card as payment.

    1. You can use the QuickText option to send a financing request to the patient directly so they can submit an application on their own device.

    2. Or you can open up the CareCredit Portal directly from within Adit and submit an application on behalf of the patient

  2. In this section, we will go over how to submit an application on behalf of a patient.

    1. There are two places in the Adit App where you can open up the provider portal to submit an application for a patient.

      1. From Quick Text

        1. Go to the top navigation and click on the QuickText button.

        2. Then select the financing icon

        3. Search for the Patient’s Name

        4. Enter in the financing amount.

        5. Each message will be customized based on the patient’s Batch QuickScreen results

        6. Select Launch CareCredit at the bottom of the screen

  1. From the Patient Card

    1. Go to the top navigation and type in the patient’s name in the search bar

    2. Select the patient from the search results and open up the patient card.

    3. Under the Patient Info tab, different action items will appear depending on the patient’s Batch QuickScreen Status:

      1. Not Pre-Approved Yet - Select Request Pre-Qual

      2. Pre-Approved - Select Accept Offer

      3. Existing Card Holder - Select Start Payment

  2. Once you launch the CareCredit Provider Portal from either the QuickText Screen or the Patient Card, a window will appear within the Adit App, showing you the Carecredit website.

    1. If the Patient is Not Pre-Approved Yet

      1. You will be taken to the CareCredit - Apply Page where can submit a new application on behalf of the patient

    2. If the Patient is Pre-Approved

      1. You will be taken to the CareCredit - Check Approval Status Page, where you can select Customer Accepts to pull up a pre-filled application and easily submit it for approval
