How Patients Can Add Themselves to the ASAP List After Booking an Appointment
The ASAP List in Adit allows patients to request earlier appointment times if a slot becomes available. This feature helps practices fill last-minute cancellations quickly while keeping patients happy with faster access to care.
What is the ASAP List?
The ASAP List is a queue of patients who have opted in to be notified if an earlier time opens up. Once a cancellation occurs, staff can see which patients are waiting and contact them to fill the spot.
How Patients Can Add Themselves to the ASAP List
Patients have the opportunity to add themselves to the ASAP List via the confirmation page after booking an appointment
1. Book an Appointment
The patient books their appointment online.
Once the booking is confirmed, the Thank You Page is displayed.

2. Select “Join ASAP List”
On the Thank You Page, patients see an option: “Want an earlier appointment? Join the ASAP List.”
Patients click the checkbox or button to confirm.
3. Confirmation of ASAP Enrollment
A confirmation message appears, confirming that the patient has been added to the ASAP List for the service, provider, and location they booked.
The appointment remains scheduled at the original time until staff manually reassign the patient to a new slot.
Notifications & Staff Visibility
When a patient adds themselves to the ASAP List from the confirmation page, the appointment will not be automatically rebooked. Instead, your team gains visibility into this request inside Adit’s Engage > ASAP List dashboard.
From here, staff can:
See a list of all patients who requested to be seen sooner.
Review patient details such as provider, appointment type, and preferences.
Reach out to patients directly (call, text, or reassign) when earlier slots become available.
