Why Adit needs login credentials and administrator-level access to your system

Welcome to Adit! In order to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation, it is crucial for users to provide their Admin username and password during the setup process. This allows us to implement and maintain essential features such as task scheduling and service monitoring to ensure that your app is running and updating at all times.

1. Task Scheduler

The task scheduler is a critical component of our system. It enables automated checks to determine if the Adit server app is running at specific intervals. If the app is not running, the scheduler will take the necessary steps to initiate it.

Functionality:

Checks the status of the Adit server app at regular intervals.
Automatically starts the app if it is not already running.

2. Service Montioring

The Pozativeappstatus service plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of the sync module. It monitors the status of the sync process and takes corrective action in case of any synchronization issues, particularly with appointments.

Functionality:

Monitors sync status at specified intervals.
Restarts the server app if any synchronization issues, especially with appointments, are detected.

Why Admin User Credentials are Necessary:

Application Accessibility:

System users or local users may have restricted access to certain applications. Admin credentials grant us the necessary permissions to configure and run essential components.
Domain Setup Considerations:

In scenarios where a domain setup is in place, local users may have limited privileges. Admin credentials ensure unrestricted access to system resources.

Firewall and Security Settings:

Certain firewall and Windows Defender settings may prevent local users from using specific applications. Admin privileges bypass such restrictions, enabling uninterrupted operation.

Consequences of Sync Failure if Admin Credentials are not provided:

In the event of a sync failure, the following critical functionalities may be affected until the Server Application is manually restarted:

All Reminders:

Reminders for appointments and other things such as patient form reminder, payment requests, etc., may not function correctly.

Adit Pay:

The Adit Pay module may experience disruptions, affecting financial transactions.

Patient Forms and Online Scheduling:

The Patient Forms and Online Scheduling module may not operate as intended.

Deleted Appointments:

Deleted appointments may not sync with the Adit app, potentially leading to incorrect reminders.

Patient Details:

Updates to patient details may not be reflected in real-time.
