How To: Set up Kiosk Mode
Kiosk Mode is a feature within the Adit Forms app for iOS and Android mobile devices. Practices can use Kiosk Mode to provide a seamless, automated self check-in process for their patients, enabling the front desk to focus on other duties.
Please note: Kiosk Mode is not currently available for offices using Abledent, ClearDent, or Tracker as their practice management software. Keep an eye out for this feature, coming this Fall!
There are two requirements before your office can use Kiosk Mode: update your Status Mapping for check-in, and make sure your Adit Forms app is updated to the latest version.
Only Owner and Manager level users can edit Status Mapping.
To update your Status Mapping:
- Log into the Adit platform through your web browser.
- Click the Settings gear in the top right corner.
- In the bottom section, under Locations, select the name of your location.
- In the left navigation menu, click on EHR.
- Select the Status Mapping tab.
- Locate the Patient Arrival Mapping option. In the drop-down menu, select the appointment status from your PMS that Adit should use when we automatically update the status of a patient's appointment to indicate they have checked in through the kiosk.
Your changes will save automatically.
Full screen view of the Status Mapping page, with the Patient Arrival Mapping drop-down menu open.
To update the Adit Forms app:
- Open the Adit Forms app on your device.
- The app will prompt you to update.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to update the app.
- Re-launch the Adit Forms app on your device and log in.
Once you have completed these two steps, tap the Kiosk Mode label in the top right corner of the Forms App splash screen to launch Kiosk Mode.
