How to log all communication within the EHR/PMS

Adit enables you to log all communication with your patients into their respective patient file in the Practice Management Software. When enabled, this feature will log all historical and new data such as calls, texts, emails, and payments logged into the patient’s file. 

To enable this feature:

  1. Navigate to the Settings page

  2. Under location, click on the name of your Location

  3. On the left side menu, click on EHR

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the option to enable the logs.

  5. Click the toggle switch to turn the logs on or off.

    1. If the switch is gray with the button to the left, it is off.

    2. If the switch is orange with the button to the right, it is on.

  6. After toggling the switch On, you will see this pop up. Click on Next  

  7. Select what activities you would like to post within the Communication Logs and Patient Ledger.


    The following are what will be logged within each activity: Calls: a. Answered Calls b. Dialed Calls c. Missed Calls d. Voicemails Texts: a. SMS Sent b. SMS Received c. MMS Sent d. MMS Received ​Adit Pay Transactions: a. Payments Received b. Partial Payments c. Refunds d. Discounts
  8. After this is set, you can still update your preferences at any time by clicking on the Edit Settings link.
