Guide to Treatment Plans

Guide to Treatment Plans

Adit provides practices with the tools to compile treatment plans, send treatment plans to patients to sign, and set up payments and payment plans for treatment plans.

Treatment Plans live within the Patient Forms module in Adit’s platform.

The typical process to create, send, and approve a treatment plan through Adit looks like this:
  1. Practice creates or imports the treatment plan, including available treatment options, payment options, and discounts.
  2. Practice sends the treatment plan.
  3. Patient receives a text and/or email with a link to their treatment plan.
  4. Patient reviews the treatment plan and selects from the provided options for treatment and payment, then signs the plan and any attached forms, completes any required payment, and submits the treatment plan.
  5. Practice receives a notification that the treatment plan has been accepted.
  6. If required, the practice can countersign the treatment plan before pushing it to the patient file in the EHR/PMS software.

Treatment Plan Status

There are several statuses used over the life of a Treatment Plan:
  1. Draft – a Treatment Plan that has been created and saved, but not yet sent to a patient.
  2. Requested – a Treatment Plan that has been sent to a patient and is waiting for their approval.
  3. Pending Sign – a Treatment Plan that has been completed by the patient and is awaiting signature from the practice.
  4. Accepted – a Treatment Plan that has been completed by the patient and signed by the practice (if required).
  5. Canceled – a Treatment Plan that has been canceled.
  6. Archived – an accepted Treatment Plan that has been archived.

To reach the Treatment Plans dashboard, navigate to the Patient Forms module, then select Treatment Plans from the top navigation menu. From this page, you can view the Overview of Treatment Plans for all of your locations, or select a specific location from the left navigation menu to see only the Treatment Plans for that location.

Each location page (including the Overview) has six tabs at the top to choose from, which allow you to narrow down what Treatment Plans appear in the list.
  1. All
  2. Draft
  3. Requested
  4. Submitted
  5. Canceled
  6. Archived

You can also search for Treatment Plans using the Search box at the top right corner of the Treatment Plans dashboard. You can search by Treatment Plan Name or by Patient Name.
