By default, patients can book any available appointment at your practice through Adit’s Advanced Online Scheduling feature. If you don’t want patients to be able to schedule within a certain timeframe - for example, not allowing a patient to book your first appointment of the day during the night before - you can set a buffer.

1. Navigate to the Online Scheduling module.

2. In the navigation menu, select Scheduling. 

3. In the top left, select the location you’d like to update.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the Calendar Buffer.

5. Enter how many hours in advance you require patients to schedule. For example: if your practice does not offer same-day appointments, enter at least 24 in the Calendar Buffer field.  If you would like online bookings to be restricted to two days or further out, enter 48 hours.
