Configure PDF Upload for Dentrix

Clients using Dentrix now have the ability to automatically push PDFs (such as Patient Forms) to the Dentrix Document Center. This feature may require a minor update to your Adit server application, depending on which version of Dentrix you have.

For Dentrix Version 7.6 or Below

No configuration changes are necessary if you are using Dentrix version 7.6 or older. If PDFs are not uploading to the Document Center successfully, please contact our Support team for assistance.

For Dentrix Versions Above 7.6

If you are on a newer version of Dentrix above version 7.6, you will need to make a minor change on your office server in order to enable this feature.
  1. When your Adit server application automatically updates to version 1.0.0.27, a desktop shortcut called "Adit PDF Attachment" will appear.
  2. Right-click on the shortcut and select Run as administrator.
  3. In the window that opens, click the PDF Update button.
  4. A Dentrix popup will appear, asking for permission to access the database. Enter the User ID and Password for your Dentrix admin account. This user account must have access to the document center and the family file.
  5. Click the Yes button and wait for the update to complete. This may take several minutes.
  6. Once the update is completed successfully, it will display a message and then the window will close automatically after 10 seconds. If the update fails, a message on screen will inform you to try again.
  7. The desktop shortcut will also disappear after the update is completed successfully.

If you are unsure which version of the Adit server application you have installed, Find your server app version.
