What is Adit Pay?

Adit Pay is a payment processing solution that lets your practice manage payments within one platform. See an overview of all patients with pending balances, send payment requests, initiate refunds, and automate payment reminders. Send a quick link for patients to pay their balance online, or process credit cards in person with a terminal.

How much does it cost to use Adit Pay?

The Adit Pay module itself is free and included with your Adit Platform. The card processing fees are:

2.25% + $0.20

Card present (card reader)

2.90% + $0.30

Card not present (online)

What details do I need before signing up for Adit Pay?

Individual (US & Canada)

  • Owner-level access in Adit
  • Business legal name
  • Owner’s full SSN
  • Driver’s license picture (JPG or PNG)
  • Bank details (account holder name, account number & routing number)

Company (United States)

  • Owner-level access in Adit
  • EIN (Employer Identification Number)
  • Business legal name (as per IRS form for the EIN)
  • Owner’s full SSN
  • Bank details (account holder name, account number & routing number)

Access restricted when setting up?

Only Owner-level users can create or set up an Adit Pay account. Ask your Owner-level user to start the setup.

Available in Canada?

Yes, Adit Pay is currently available in the US and Canada.

Do I have to buy a terminal to use Adit Pay?

No, a terminal is not required, though it’s highly recommended since it’s the only way to accept in-office payments. Without a terminal, you can still use text-to-pay and Manual Card Entry to accept payments online.

Can I use another terminal from my previous payment processor?

Currently, the terminals supported with Adit Pay are the S700 Card Reader and BBPOS WisePOS E.

What are the benefits and pricing of the terminal?

What types of payment methods are supported?

Adit provides 5 payment methods to process or collect payment from patients:

  • Text to Pay – request payment via text/email
  • In Office Payment – take payment with a terminal
  • Manual Card Entry – take payment without a terminal
  • Charge Card on File – take payment using a saved card on file
  • Offline Payment – take payment via cash or check

Does Adit Pay write into my PMS?

Yes. Depending on your software, payment activity is written into the Patient Ledger and Communication Logs/journal. Adit Pay integrates with the following EHR/PMS software:

Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Tracker, Dentrix Ascend, ClearDent, Easy Dental, AbelDent, Curve Dental, Practice-Web, Crystal PM, OfficeMate, ChiroTouch, Dolphin, Orthotrac, and Jane.

Where can my patients use a Text-to-Pay link?

You can send a Text-to-Pay link to any patient, but they must be physically located in one of the following countries to access it:
